Use

The first 1-2 weeks there is a process of skin adaptation — visible deterioration, irritation, redness, peeling. Noticeable therapeutic effect and improvement, as a rule, is noticeable already at 3-4 weeks of use. Further clinical changes appear gradually on the increase. A persistent pronounced effect is usually achieved 8-10 weeks after the start of the course. By this time, positive irreversible changes are detected in the dermal matrix of the skin, restoring the normal functioning of the skin.

How to apply correctly?

It is advisable to store the drug in the refrigerator. Wash your hands before and after using tretinoin. Apply only 1 time a day at night, before going to bed (IMPORTANT! in the light, the drug loses most of its useful properties, retinol is destroyed in the light). Before applying, you need to wash your face with the softest, children’s pharmacy product, without any perfumes and effects. Set aside your usual washbasins for the duration of the Tretinoin course — they can greatly dry out the skin! After washing, blot your face with a towel, then it is very important to wait at least 20 minutes until the moisture evaporates from the skin, and so that the skin has time to restore its protective fat barrier — this will greatly reduce the risk of side effects. After 20 minutes, you can apply tretinoin and go to bed. (IMPORTANT! Water prevents the penetration of tretinoin into the skin, if applied to a freshly washed face– the effect of the remedy will greatly decrease). The drug can be applied both to the entire face and locally – to areas requiring treatment. In order to avoid side effects, it is not recommended to use any other cream on top of tretinoin and thereby mix chemicals of different preparations in the skin, since Tretinoin itself is a very powerful agent and has a total effect on the skin. A small amount (about the size of a pea) of cream should be applied — an extra amount of cream will not add effect, but will increase the likelihood of adverse reactions. More doesn’t mean better. Regularity and duration of use are more important here. The cream is rubbed with light movements. At the same time, it should immediately become invisible or, at least, barely noticeable. If there is a peeling of the cream after it dries or it is too noticeable on the skin, this is evidence that the dosage has been exceeded! It can be applied to the face, neck, decollete area, hands, etc. Avoid contact with mucous membranes, skin around the nostrils, in the corners of the lips. Strictly can not be applied to the skin of the lips and around the eyes! In the morning after waking up – washing with a mild non-drying agent and be sure to apply a nourishing face cream with sun protection at least SPF20. If the skin dries very much, then during the day you need to moisturize the skin with a neutral nourishing cream (such as Nivea, baby) and a spray with thermal water.
