What is Prandine?

Your doctor may recommend using insulin to make sure your blood sugar levels are well controlled during pregnancy. It is not known whether repaglinide passes into breast milk or may harm a nursing baby. You should not breastfeed while using this medication. Overdose

In a clinical study, patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus received repaglinide in a weekly increasing dose from 4 to 20 mg 4 times a day (with each meal) for 6 weeks. In addition to the desired decrease in the concentration of glucose in the blood, isolated adverse reactions were observed that did not affect the safety profile of the drug. Due to the increase in the caloric content of the diet, hypoglycemia was not observed in this study, however, a relative overdose may manifest itself as an excessive decrease in the concentration of glucose in the blood with the development of symptoms of hypoglycemia (dizziness, increased sweating, tremor, headache, etc.). In case of these symptoms, appropriate measures should be taken to increase the concentration of glucose in the blood (take dextrose or carbohydrate-rich foods inside). In severe hypoglycemia (loss of consciousness, coma), dextrose is administered intravenously.
