Indications

Seroflo Inhaler is indicated as a basic therapy for bronchial asthma when it is advisable to use a combination of a long-acting β2-adrenomimetic with inhaled GCS: – patients with insufficient control of the disease against the background of constant monotherapy with inhaled corticosteroids with periodic use of short-acting β2-adrenomimetics; – patients with adequate disease control during therapy with inhaled GCS and long-acting β2-adrenomimetic; – as a starting maintenance therapy for patients with persistent bronchial asthma in the presence of indications for the appointment of GCS to achieve control over the disease; – as well as for maintenance therapy for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and a value of FEV1 < 60% of the proper values (before inhalation of a bronchodilator) and repeated exacerbations in the anamnesis, in which pronounced symptoms persist despite regular therapy with bronchodilators.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to one or more components of the drug; – children under 4 years of age. With caution: Seroflo Inhaler should be used with caution in patients with acute or latent tuberculosis. Seroflo Inhaler should be used with caution in fungal, viral or bacterial infections. Seroflo Inhaler should be used with caution in patients with pheochromocytoma, thyrotoxicosis, hypothyroidism. Medication Seroflo Inhaler should be prescribed with caution to patients with uncontrolled hypokalemia. Medication Seroflo Inhaler should be taken with caution in patients with uncontrolled arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, idiopathic hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, arrhythmias such as supraventricular tachycardia and extrasystole, ventricular extrasystole, atrial fibrillation. Any inhaled GCS can cause systemic effects, especially with prolonged use in high doses. Therefore, the drug should be used with caution in cataracts, glaucoma, osteoporosis. There are very rare reports of an increase in the concentration of glucose in blood plasma, therefore, patients with diabetes mellitus should use the drug Seroflo Inhaler with caution.
